ICE Box Event: Free Emergency Preparedness Workshop in Mesa

Angela Tauscher • September 25, 2025

When an emergency strikes, the last thing you want to worry about is whether you can find your important documents. That’s why Rover Realty is teaming up with All About You Placement and Senior Resources and their sister company Seniors Helping Seniors to host a free ICE Box Event in Mesa.

What’s an ICE Box?
The I.C.E. (In Case of Emergency) Box is a fire-safe keepsake box designed to store your most essential documents in one place. Think of it as a superhero for your paperwork! Inside, you’ll have a secure spot for:

  • Medical records
  • Insurance papers
  • Financial information
  • Emergency contacts
  • Legal documents
  • …and more!

Why This Matters for Families
At Rover Realty, we handle many probate files and have seen firsthand how overwhelming it can be for families who are grieving and trying to manage their loved one’s affairs. Even when a trust is in place, it’s often still challenging for family members — especially those who live out of state — to locate passwords, keys, and other vital information. We also recognize that this kind of preparation would be invaluable long before we’re ever asked to help with the probate process. That’s why we’re passionate about encouraging families to set up an ICE Box now — whether it’s for a minor emergency that requires quick access to information or for more serious situations. Having everything organized relieves stress and provides peace of mind for you and your loved ones.

Event Details:

  • A fire-safe keepsake box to take home
  • Guidance on what to include in your ICE Box
  • Practical tips for organizing during a crisis
  • Access to a Q&A panel with an attorney, financial advisor, realtor, and other professionals

This interactive session is designed to give you peace of mind knowing you’re prepared for whatever comes your way. Whether you’re a senior, helping aging parents, or just want to be proactive for your family, this event offers real-world solutions and resources.

If you’ve been searching for a spacious home in Queen Creek with flexible living space, walk-in closets, and access to highly rated schools, this new listing in Cortina deserves a closer look. Located at Queen Creek, 19137 E Kingbird Drive offers a thoughtfully designed floor plan with room to spread out, entertain, work from home, and enjoy everything this popular community has to offer. With 4 bedrooms plus an office/den and loft space, this home is ideal for buyers needing extra flexibility. Whether you need a dedicated home office, playroom, workout space, or secondary living area, the layout gives you plenty of options that can adapt to your lifestyle over time. One feature many buyers will appreciate is the storage and bedroom setup. Three of the bedrooms include walk-in closets, which is something that can be surprisingly hard to find in many homes. The kitchen has also been updated with gorgeous new granite countertops and durable wood-look tile flooring, creating a clean and modern feel while still being practical for everyday living. The kitchen opens directly to the main living areas, making it easy to stay connected while cooking, entertaining, or hosting family gatherings. Another detail that makes this floor plan stand out is the multiple outdoor access points. The home features a slider off the kitchen leading to the extended driveway area, along with a separate slider opening to the backyard patio space. These little layout details often make homes feel more functional and comfortable for daily life. Beyond the home itself, location is a huge highlight here. This property is located within the highly desirable Cortina subdivision , one of the more established and sought-after communities in the area. Residents enjoy access to community amenities including a neighborhood pool, parks, greenbelts, and walking paths. This particular home is located just a few houses from the neighborhood park, making it especially convenient for outdoor recreation and community activities. Cortina is also popular because of its access to the highly rated Higley Unified School District, which continues to attract buyers looking for strong educational options in the Southeast Valley. Another major benefit is the location between both Gilbert and Queen Creek. Homeowners here enjoy convenient access to shopping, dining, entertainment, and everyday amenities in both communities. From local restaurants and coffee shops to grocery stores, fitness centers, and entertainment options, everything you need is just a short drive away. As Queen Creek continues to grow in popularity, homes in communities like Cortina remain attractive for buyers wanting more space, neighborhood amenities, and convenient access to the best parts of the Southeast Valley. If you would like more information about this home or would like to schedule a private showing, Rover Realty is happy to help.

As Memorial Day approaches, many people are looking forward to a long weekend filled with barbecues, pool time, family gatherings, and a chance to slow down for a few days. It’s also an important time to pause and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. While many businesses close for the holiday, Memorial Day weekend is often one of the busiest and most productive weekends in real estate. For many buyers and sellers, having an extra day off creates the perfect opportunity to tour homes, schedule showings, review listings, or finally have conversations about making a move. With busy work schedules during the week, long weekends often give people the time they need to focus on their real estate goals without feeling rushed. We also tend to see increased activity from out-of-town buyers visiting Arizona communities during holiday weekends. Whether someone is exploring active adult communities, relocating for work, or searching for a second home, Memorial Day weekend can be an ideal time to view properties and narrow down options. Even though our office will be closed for the holiday, Rover Realty will still be available by call or text throughout the weekend to help with your real estate needs. Real estate doesn’t always follow a traditional schedule, and opportunities can come up quickly. Whether you want to schedule a last-minute showing, ask questions about the market, or discuss buying or selling a home, we are still here to help. If you’ve been thinking about making a move, this holiday weekend may be the perfect time to take the next step. From all of us at Rover Realty, we wish you a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend as we honor and remember those who served our country.
